With over a decade of experience in security, Derek Volkmann has built his career on a simple philosophy: roll up your sleeves, tackle challenges head-on, and let hard work speak for itself. Since joining Iron Horse Security in 2015, Derek has become a trusted leader, known for his hands-on approach and commitment to creating safer environments for both clients and communities.
Derek is a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer (MLEO) Certified Officer with specialized training in Parking Offences through Toronto Police Services. His expertise, combined with his focus on personalized customer service, ensures that operations run smoothly and clients feel confident knowing their people and properties are well protected.
As Director of Operations, Derek thrives on problem-solving, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring Iron Horse maintains its high standards of service.
Outside of work, Derek enjoys cottage life and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, a balance of relaxation and passion that fuels his energy at work.
